Double Birthday Wishes

Birthdays for these brothers passed in July... so it was time to mark the occasion with a session! Andrew such a great helper (who turned 4 yrs) tried to assist Adam (who turned 2 yrs) in smiling, posing, and being sweet... Adam was too funny... he never wanted to do exactly what we were looking for at the right time... but he always came around on his own terms... such as sitting down and posing in the exact location about 5 minutes after we had asked him to join us! The boys were the best 1:1 with their mom... they loved having her all to themselves! And... I've included one of the family's fall portraits... since I am way behind on updating the blog!

Preston Turns Two

Preston turns two next week and is already such a big guy! He loved running around the park, exploring the bridge, watching the ducks, and even chased some dogs on their walk... My favorite part of our session was watching his mom "get him to smile" with some major tickles, chasing, hugs, and kisses. Those images are some of my new all time favorites! Enjoy...

Coletta 60th Reunion

Celebrating 60 years of marriage, celebrating family, celebrating time together! The Coletta family gathered at Lake Lawn Resort and after group photographs, they enjoyed a relaxing cruise on Lake Geneva. The day concluded with a delicious meal and tearful toasts to Ethel and Ralph, as their children, grand children and great grand children reminisced about special memories and their genuine appreciation of family and togetherness. Spending time with a family that came from near and far to celebrate was more than a photo shoot.... it was an inspirational event!

Jake Turns Three

Jake turns three... next week, so it was time to mark the milestone! We had a great time at a local park that overlooks the Du Page River. Jake enjoyed checking out the bridge, a "boat" in the water, and playing hide and seek around the towering trees! My favorite part was when he and his mom started being silly and I got to capture them being so sweet together! Enjoy some of my favorites!

Hot Dog

Stephanie, Tim, and Koko enjoyed a hot summer session... they were such troopers for the scorching morning.... You might not be able to tell how warm it was if it wasn't for Koko's prominent tongue in all of the photos... she was a classic "hot dog!"

The Miller Boys turn ONE

Will and Bruce were just days away from their first birthday during my visit... They are getting so big, it's so hard to believe that it's been a whole year since they were born. I am so happy to say that I have had many opportunities to visit and photograph them throughout their first year. This time around, Will was the smiley one who was more than ready for photographs, while Bruce was cutting a painful tooth throughout most of my visit. In the fall, Bruce was all about the giggles and laughs, so my guess is that being twin boys... they will play a little game each time I am around... I am beginning to see how tricky our sessions will be in the future!! Happy Birthday Miller Boys!!

I had a wonderful time meeting up with Belle and her parents while out in DC. She has grown up so much since our first session... It's hard to believe she is so close to celebrating her first birthday! We enjoyed a sunny morning at Founder's Park, which is right on the Potomac River... it made such a beautiful backdrop for our session. Enjoy!

Cole Kids

Natalie, Drew, and Brandt were an easy-going group. We had a short time and a limited area... but they were great sports! And...with the promise of ice cream after our session their smiles got even bigger! These three have a great sibling bond... my favorite is the first one below!! Enjoy!

Oliver's Bday Session

I had the chance to meet up with Oliver while in DC in late March. Oliver was his usual photogenic self for our session, keeping his cool despite his mom and I dressing him up for a birthday session. Oliver Birthday Cards will be hitting the press soon... they are too cute!! Enjoy my favorites!

Manda and Scott...Tied the Knot

Manda and Scott were married in Tipton, Missouri on Saturday, December 27th. The weekend started with a temperature of 64 degrees, but by the time the reception was over there was a layer of ice on every car! Manda took it all in stride and said, "Isn't it good luck to have rain on your wedding day?" The church was packed with family and friends who witnessed Scott's surprise serenade to his new bride at the altar which had guests smiling, laughing, and crying. It was such a memorable day for the happy couple and all those who celebrated with them; I wish them all the best in the New Year!

Carter

Carter is full of two year old energy! He was so excited to show off all of his new Christmas presents during our session, including the addition of his new big boy bed! I had a great time chasing him around the house and capturing a few special moments between him and his mom! Here are a few favorites...
